Great lesson, I am new to the blues chords. I play mostly Rock stuff, and some Metal. so could some one tell me, if this is in the Key of G, how do we tell what finger holds the root of those 7th chords? how do you know what chord it is when you slide it up or down?
most of the time it is taught to pull down the 3 low strings like E,A,D. and push up the bend on the 3 high strings. G,B,E. heres one reason for it. if you push up a full bend on the 7th fret G to a full bend and hold it, then hit the 8th fret b string. it makes a cool southern rock Double stop bend. you can bend the G string 7th and hit the 5th fret b string also. if you let them ring together you can push them in key for practice on pitch control for your bends. I hope this helps.
Also I noticed in your other vids that when you bend a note you always push the string up. I have a constant tendency to pull them down. Is there a a disadvantage to this or is it just improper? Thanks for any tips you have!!!!
