The reason they say 'A star is born' is because after Alex performed Silent Night (if memory serves) in the X Factor final, Simon said 'I think tonight a star has been born' so it's not just a quote for Leona :)

i like alex... but im really pissed off... imean the quote "a star is born" is the quote oprah winfrey used for leona lewis in the USA and i saw an alexandra burke book up in HMV the other day and it said "a star is born" i know its silly but it anoied me... but thats not alex's fault... shes still a gr8 singer!!!
