Learn how to cook Thai food the real way with a real Thai. I was born and raised in Thailand, and I lived there for 20 years. I have always been obsessed with food and can't think of a life without it, so I went and got a nutrition degree in Canada, cooked in a few professional kitchens, and then off to culinary school in San Francisco.
I am passionate about my culture, particularly its food, and I want to share it with the world. That's why I'm here. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do making it. Kob kun ka (thank you)

Laab Moo
Toasted ground rice 1 Tbsp
1 lb ground pork
1/2 shallot, finely sliced (add to hot pork)
1 Tbsp chiffonade cilantro
1 Tbsp chiffonade mint
2.5 T fish sauce
3 Tbsp lime
Chili powder to taste
Iceberg Lettuce

  • you forgot to tell everyone that you have to soak the sticky rice for a least 4-5 hours before you steam it.....

  • Not necessarily. You can soak and then strain out excess water before steaming, as i explain in the mango and sticky rice episode, you should take a look. Under time constraint you can cheat and just add sufficient water (the same amount it would've absorbed if it were soaked) and steam it and it'll still turn out reasonably well, though not as perfect as the other option. You can even do it in the microwave with the cheat method when you don't have a steamer.

  • This is the first episode where I'm not feeling confident on my measurements... I will figure it out, I'm sure... but I like how in your other episodes you are a little more "exact" about your measurements. I will make this tomorrow. I'm on a roll!

  • This was the first day of filming actually, I was still deciding if I wanted to be exact with the recipes or just giving an overall process :) As you can see I decided to be exact.

  • I saw your mango video as well. Can you use a plate istead of "the towel" witout any water in, if it had soak for hours?

  • wowww ... this really is a Hot Thai Kitchen, staring at you and forget to take note on the recipe ... how silly of me :D

  • This show is very clever.

  • This show is the best .

  • So you're a nutritionist. Can you help people diet down for a bodybuilding show?

  • @whadidusay

yes, you can do it over night or for 5 hours...
