It's simply mind-blowing how much food waste is generated everyday. Thanks to Recology and the city of SF, this doesn't go into the landfill! =)

Awesome!!! I remember how cool this was watching it in person when I filmed it..it'd be fun to work for them and do this every evening, there's something cool about working a trash truck in this part of the day. It's good to know that all that is composted, and I'm still amazed how well everyone participates and knows how to separate things correctly, you don't see any plastic going in there or anything. IDK about the nails in that pallet though..if you go there again, PLEASE get more!!!

@ACX009 oh ok what a good idea!
Nice Autocar Leach Beta Rear Load body. :) See any Frontloaders or roll-offs in your area of SF . Great camra work. And keep on rocking.

@Godzilla23i Thanks man. There's plenty of Front Load and Roll-off action in SF as well, but they're hard to catch. Roll-offs generally service construction sites or compactors that are out of sight. Front load action happens really late at night and early in the morning, with most done hours before noon. We have a 24 hour 7 days a week service area. You often see a lot of FLs come in and leave the transfer station around midnight or 1 in the morning. All Recology Golden Gate or Sunset Scavenger

@ACX009 I actually live right next to a grocery store which has a WM 30yd Compactor. I was able to record him picking up and putting back. all the roll-offs I've flimed were Mack's.

@Godzilla23i I've seen a Recology Heil Front Load roll-up to a neighborhood supermarket at 3am on a Sunday morning to empty a 4yd trash container. I'd like to see more of our roll-offs around but most compactors are hidden in underground parking lots or in loading docks. Our "full sized" (FL, RL, MSL, Roll-Off) fleet (excluding Lodal) consists of the Xpeditor line of chassis from White/GMC, Volvo, and Autocar, with Autocar mainly on the road today. There are roughly 250 trucks servicing SF.

@Burrtec100 Thanks dude, and I'm way ahead of you. Dirty Jobs is probably one of my favorite shows on Discovery. I've pretty much seen every episode, but all vids taking place in SF are higher up on my list of favorites.
