Berezovsky DOESN'T FUCK AROUND!

@hervinbalfour this is far better than lisitsa out of tune piano and lightweight performance

While Berezovsky has become increasingly "no nonsense" with little imagination or subtlety, there is an advantage to a pianist like him taking on this sonata. So many performers simply get bogged down by the piece's technical demands, and we all know that Berezovsky never plays like a scared pianist. Thankfully, having a pianist who takes anything on that's in front of him works well since many of the music qualities and excitement come out loud and clear.

X NOSEhow2LIV I read perhaps ten comments of yours that begin with the same phrase:
"I don't usually like Berezovsky,but I must say that......"
Don't you think that maybe it's time to finally admit that you were wrong,on account of this pianist? :D :D

Not just paly live but play period. This sonata is so much more technically challenging than the 2nd and that is a monster. This sonata gave me difficulties. I like this interpretation but Valentina Lisista has the best on YT imo.

Very fine from a usually not-so-favorit artits. How did i miss this? I was at La Roque just a couple of days before this> must have been blind!
mate I would have died to listen to this live, I have heard him on a number of occasions in Singapore but unfortunately he has never played this Sonata and very few people do . I believe its one of the most difficult sonatas to play live.
