Islamic Childrens Story - Mira at the beach

Mira at the beach
A bright summer's day, the sun shining strong.
A beach stroll Mira took, so lovely and long.

Her tip-toes touched, the hot scorching sand,
The stretching ocean sparkling; a sight so grand.

There were plenty of people, upon this beach,
One girl Mira spotted, had black hair so sleek.

She was picking up seashells, washed up on shore,
Collecting hard, sculpted shells, with an empty core.

"Konichiwa!" in her language, to Mira she sung,
"My name is Sakura, Where are you from?"

The girls chit-chatted away, where they stand,
And Mira found out, this girl is from Japan.

Next Mira came across a bright young child,
With skin coloured mocha, and eyes dark brown.

Building sandcastles, with his bucket and shovel,
Admiring his art, in the sand's rough stubble.

"Molo!" greeted the boy, and his Mum,
"My name is Thando, Where are you from?"

Thando's sandcastle, had such a strong structure,
Thando learnt to build them from his home in
South Africa.

Mira noticed a hole in the sand, so shallow,
It had been dug by a girl, with hair so yellow.

The blue-eyed girl was digging away,
She was trying to dig deeper, to find some clay.

"Bonjour!" the girl announced, so lovely and calm,
"My name is Luna, Where are you from?"

Together they dug; to reach the clay they took a chance,
Then Luna told Mira, that she was from France.

Mira wondered about all the different cultures,
So many different people, of all backgrounds and colours.

Allah made us all equal, no matter what our colour,
We have to treat everyone the same, no person is better than another.
