Everything about it was amazing: The Mekong river, the caves, the pit filled roads between Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng, the incredibly friendly people, Vang Vieng itself, the fascinating landscapes.I could go on and go.
I went there 3 years ago and would recommend that anyone in SE Asia needs to go there, before it becomes a tourist hotspot as it seems to be starting that now, from watching this video.
been there done that too, but i went in july and the river was higher, but the water was not as clear.
