@GoGreenCo I'm not a fan of the central bank of the USA, but don't use that as an excuse to not hold bankers accountable for their high crimes. That argument is absolutely horrid and shouldn't be pursued by any rational people any longer.
Sometimes the Law is just a piece of paper. Libertarians (I'm not one) value individual liberty and personal freedoms, and want a sustainable economy like many others. The NDAA is law and people protest that.
Their movement is called "Occupy Wall Street" so that weak minded or misinformed people don't get confused about what is being protested. Wall Street.
It sounds like you want to protest the FED. Get some people together and protest the FED. Y'all are wasting your time voting for Paul for POTUS anyway, he'll never get that office. Imagine if all the energy spent on his campaign was instead directed to protesting/reforming the FED. Think about it.
ugh. not sure what she said after :18. didn't make it past that. don't care though. same tired, spoon fed nonsense. it was posted in oct, so hopefully she's educated herself since then.
How about we protest people who committed crimes? That would be wall street. You may or may not agree with the federal reserve, but what they do is legal. Fraud and predatory lending is not legal. I thought libertarians supported the rule of law and order? Let's go after the sons of bitches who tanked the economy for their own personal gain!
Would I like a free market system and the dissolution of government, yes. However, I don't want to leave the largest corporations intact and holding all the leverage and to destabilize peoples lives further than they already are by drastically altering the system overnight. I oppose the banker controlled Federal Reserve, as well as corporate America because of this.
I hear people launch similar arguments in favor of socialism. They use some ideal of socialism and contrast it with systems that go by that name. I'm not really emotionally attached to either the capitalist or socialist label. The way I look at it is the government is taxing us anyway to subsidize large industries. The free market crowd will always gain victories in cutting social welfare, public education, etc, but never seem to be as successful in ending the Fed or military expansion.
@Beannaich
True. One should protest both rather than just that one as the title suggests.
