  • 92 series Detroit - great motor. So much grunt for such a small engine, bloody thirsty bastards and they leak a bit of oil but a great reliable motor.

  • thank you comment

  • This type of motor have a lot of problems, also a very poor lubrication, pls check my invention on 2 strokes motor only by valves witout springs for close operation. on ricardojp07. rgds.

  • mechanically.the injector pump has a plate, with i think almost like a valve body sort of thing.. to direct how much fuel goes to the plunger. with different fuel plates you can get more or less fuel.

  • In fact the details of the fuel injection and acceleration I do not have the technical knowledge.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • holy shit, why dont they make car engines this design of two stroke?? and just fire the injectors as soon as the valves close

  • @Renwysocki When you turbocharge a twostroke diesel you keep the blower, it wont start otherwise. the blower is not to gain power, it wont run without it.

  • these engines have an injector with a pump for each cylinder, does anyone know how a fuel is metered? how does the accelerator governs the engine? does it increase the injection time by means of a rack like in inline pumps? or is there another way

  • The two-stroke engine, double the inlet air to the air than a 4 stroke.

2 stroke turbocharger uses less pressure than the 4-stroke engine

The four-stroke piston must have a two or three times heavier, to produce the same power.

Piston heavier means more fuel consumption!
