On the issue at hand, I think, yes, morally it is probably wrong to build a mosque there... however, under the constitution it is a right to freedom of religion and to practice that religion wherever someone should choose. Legally, yes, it is okay and should be allowed; Morally, they should probably respect the area and move a few blocks down...

My only thing is that the families of the victims I feel deserve to a place to go for a memorial, if a mosque were to take up part of that space then I personally dont see the problem, but I think that part of the property should go to a basic memorial that isnt confined to a certain religion. Yes people have the right to freedom of worship and freedom to build a worship site but that doesnt mean say a church here in OKC should go build a chapel down at the OKC bombing site.
