Just a lil info., for most of the seeds in your survival seed bank, every year that passes you can cut the germination rate by half, after 4 years odds r you will not see one single plant out of these seeds, they can preserve the body of the seed but they can't preserve the "life" of the seed. Use them for soup. Best thing to do is to plant a small "seed garden" in like a flower bed and save seeds from the best plants each year for the next years planting & make sure they don't cross pollinate.

@boomd1791 How can I make this myself?

Sometimes people buy these seeds like they do a firearm. Put it up and forget about it. If you don't learn to use it and practice, you are more likely to kill yourself than protect yourself.
Likewise if you depend on these seeds for your food WTSHTF and you never practiced gardening/farming beforehand, chances are good you'll starve to death, or end up using your firearm to steal from others. Word to the wise. Practice and learn while its not vital. Thanks for the review.

I keep seeing things BOB seed banks that everyone talks about planting an acre garden. We have had a 1/4 acre garden my whole life. Even using gas powered tillers to prep the area and mix in compose, it is still back breaking work to maintain our little garden. What is everyone's plan for plowing? I've helped an Amish neighbor plow a small plot will 2 Clydesdale and a proper plow and it was a nightmare. I can't imagine doing it by hand with improvised tools.

seed could fit into your bug out easier without that container.
I think it was about $90. I paid for the convenience. You could easily make this yourself for less than half the price.

I buy mine from a local supplier near my home. I also have bought them online. Burpee is a well known company, but they can be expensive. Do a search for heirloom or open-pollinated seeds and you will find a bunch of companies that sell them.
