    I agree. That is not what is known as the halter hitch. The halter hitch is MUCH simpler and slipped for easy untying.

  • This knot is not like any halter hitch diagrams I've seen elsewhere.

  • This guy seems like a nice guy but expert? It say's hes an origami wizard.  I'd rather have a cowboy tell me how to tie up my horse.

  • If a horse gets spooked or falls when this knot is being used good luck getting him loose!!

  • I think this is a good knot for other things but not horses. I can't tell you how many times I've been save by a slip knot. In fact one time a horse pulled back and tightened the knot around my fingers. It would have been a lot worse if it hadn't been a slip knot. That's my opinion. Thanks.
