How can the narrator say "these creatures have no intelligence",...How dare he?...These animals process thoughts as we do but in proportion to their physical abilities, often considering the habitat within their environment. Enough intelect to enable them to perform their purpose with Nature.
WE HUMANS, on the other hand, have a great intellectual capabilities and physical abilites, yet have no clue what the hell we are doing here on Earth, but to fuck shit up.

uuuhhhhhh, you have to understand that for every successful species that have evolved such defensive mechanisms, many others with less evolved mechanisms must die.
So yes, it is an unintelligent mechanism called trial and error.
This explains why there are more variety of animals in remote areas e.g. Galapagos islands, because they are not exposed to competitive species that would wipe them out.
To put it cruelly, if Almighty god were to expose these to mainland animals, they would be destroyed.

@zenithar6666 Natural selection does not involve any coincidences. You should read about it.

1:42 Mrs. Puff is pissed as spongebob!!

no it is conincidecen bieng acted on by natural selection, and the amount of these coincidences that lead to these adaptions are so implausible as to be almost unbeleivable!!!
-
it's not called coincidence, it's called natural selection.

beautiful vid but who ever made it/ wrote the narration is a flippin idiot, temple knight is right about adaptation to the environment, and cephalopods aka the octopus are some of the most intelligent creatures in the sea.

the Qur'an really?

Great video...how beautiful nature is!
If God created these defense mechanisms, why didn't He just avoid making predators in the first place?

If two fish have 100 offspring, and two have a mutation which makes them better suited to their environment than all 98 other offspring, then it is more likely that those two will survive as the 98 others die. The two who survive to pass on their better adjusted genes then have offspring more likely to have the same characters which allowed them to survive.
Look, it's written down, therefore it is as true as anything else written down.
