Is there any information about how "Quercertin prevents LDL deposition in the arteries". I understand that to increase onion intake in the diat my help to reduce the intake of LDA but is there some biological or chemical way that once both LDL and Quercertin are injested that the quercertin prevents deposits of LDL? Does Quercertin combine in the digestive system with LDL to alter the chemical structure or what is the mecanics of this. Thanks. Sorry if I my question is too advanced.
@margff Yes apparatly onions are generally acidic. That applies to the juicy parts which I believe includes onion plup. I.E. The whole onion except for the skin. I have not tested onions my self with litmus paper but other foods I have and from a general studie i can concure with findings on the internet that onions (except dry skin) are logically acidic. The same internet data can be seen by searching "What is the PH of onions". I hope this answeres your question & is helpful.
A good advice, thanks for this. Please would you care to tell if the same person with cholesterol is suffering from gout, stiil one can eat Onion. Is onion acidic or not. I hope I will get the answer. I suppose some one is following this video as well. Thanks again.
There is NO proof that dietary cholesterol causes heart disease; none, zero!
Studies are NOT proof of anything; they are BELIEF and nothing else. So why are you worried about cholesterol?
Why aren't you worried about long toe nails, because it has been shown that people who have died of heart disease had long toe nails when their autopsy was done.
I have CACs score of 1 in left heart artery and 0 in all others. Cholesterol is 230, LDL 145, HDL 60, TriGlis 125. These n umbers do not look that bad yet my doc wants to stat me on Zocor 20mg day. My Cholesterol was 272 a year ago but I've lost weight and started eating no red meat 4 weeks before my last test. Is 4 weeks enough to see difference or should I go against doctor and try to lower more with diet? Thanks

Onions also help you to manufacture your own master antioxidant, that is, glutathione.
