The music of Sion and Anderson is an eclectic mix of different styles of American music. This includes the Depression Era, Country and Blues music of the rural Southeast, Bluegrass & Old Time Music, Swing Jazz, and the occasional Pop-Tune. In addition to their repertoire includes Celtic Music, Spanish and Classical Guitar and their own original compositions.
Both Stefan and Jeff are natives to Orange County California and have been playing and performing together for almost three decades. They have been influenced by a number of diverse guitarists.
"Sion and Anderson play 'American Primitive' music,
which I think is a term that dates back to the early
era of John Fahey. It means music generally springing
from the American South the the first 40 years of the
1900's. It fuses bluegrass, swing and country music
and includes bluegrass flatpicking, bottleneck style
guitar and Piedmont fingerstyle guitar. (Check your
notes, there may be a pop quiz.) And these guys are
good guitar pickers with lots of instrumental chops and
credible vocals. Check 'em out."

"Orange County natives Stefan Sion and Jeff Anderson
have been playing music together for almost 30 years,
and have developed fluid and complimentary guitar and
vocal styles. Their repertoire ranges from the country
blues of Doc Watson and the Delmore Brothers to the
swing of Django Reinhardt to classical pieces and
original compositions. These guys can pick!"
