This scene makes me tear up everytime. It sends shivers down my spine. I think the signifigance of the scene is partially a symbol of Mr. Fox realizing that the thing he fears most is actually beautiful and he takes the time to pause and appreciate it. I also think the author of this story is trying to relay an message of conservation for all the animals. Especially the wolf who has been hated and feared and attacked for centuries. The odds are not good. Good Luck out there Canis Lupus.

I guess this could be a 'Big lipped alligator moment'.

Really, the scene is about the Polish Solidarity movement of the 1960s and how the Goverment worked with labor unions to allow profit sharing and worker ownership in factories.

The wolf is what mr fox fears and yet it's what he wants to be. It's the pure wild creature - therefore it does not speak english, french or latin.

This movie is wonderful... and I always thought that there was a deep meaning for this scene, but I still dont know what it is, In the comment they seem to explain it, but I think the meaning its deeper than that..
This scene was so random. Best part of the movie. I loved when he raised his arm. XD
