  • This music transcends space and time because it is soul to soul communication.

  • Great photos. Great music. Another reality. Charlie Patton. During the hardest years of my adult life, I used to listen to Charlie to go to sleep. God bless all the people I knew who had lived this reality and bless Charlie Patton.

  • powderdtoast69 yes! I definitely notice the similarity. I just spent 20 minutes trying to recall the CB song.

  • looking at these photos, over 80% of the population now, would not be able to stand one month of living like that without their Fiji bottle water, and foam homo orange fat free latte, flat screen, im going to play play station 3 no matter what, leave the kids indoors, fat lazy useless post 1975 me generation, it's everyone fault but mine, leave it for tomorrow better not argue and act like a metro sexual, instead, lets not hit our children losers, lets divorce and not work it out type of people.

  • Charlie was the voice of missery, poverty and hell. He was a master bluesman, he lived the lyrics. Charlies students were Son House and Howlin Wolf among others. The most haunting bluesmen that ever lived was Charlie Patton and Robert Johnson.

  • Thanks for the posting. It makes one wonder how the world has not change. Mind about money, richness and poberty is still the same. But the answer to these matters will not come down from heaven. It takes some effort to learn. Music and images are the same at this very moment all over the world. It takes consciousness to move all together to better times. The answer is not out side but in the very am of every person.

  • does anyone else notice a similarity with this and captain beefheart's "Sure 'nuff 'n Yes I do?"

  • Fantastic, thanks for posting this !

  • been lestin to Charlie since i was a lil one. my dad used to play some of his songs and this one still remindes me of home on the corn feilds. now im in my mid 30's in the Marine corp. and have a wife and 2 kids and still love Ol Charlie

  • Hey friend, I'm 61, and Charlie's a part of me since I was about the same age !

  • No matter what part of the world you grew up in; when you were a child of a dead poor dirt farmer you can intuitively relate to this song and these pictures.

    ******

  • 0:15 very haunting
