Eddie's firewire-sparkle poi tutorial

finally my 1st tutorial video ^_^
i have lotsa great idea's coming together for the summer of 2008. ill make more tutorial video's when i have time but suggestions and comments are highly appreciated and responded ASAP unless u prefer to msg me.

~~*Fire-Wire-Material*~~
+ Steel wool/S.O.S. (5 used in vider per side)

+ steel, metal, solid chains or anything durable against heat to swing with or u feel comfortable to handle while spinning

+ small cable wiring or use the BIGGEST paperclip(s)u can find to wrap the steel wool with and hook ur chain poi with/to

+ 9V battery to start a electrical spark against wool when rubbed

::HIGHLY RECOMMENDED::
+ wear long sleeves bcuz u will feel HEAT around ur body and loose bits will fall on you and burn ur skin

+ wear dark clothing bcuz i wore white in this video and bits burned little black spots onto my shirt T_T jus so if ur shirt is black the spots cannot be seened

+ if you get burned, USE NEOSPORIN bacitration. it works like a fukin charm with a good gripped bandaid. my 1st burn on my finger healed fully in 3 days after changing and re-applying every 12hours

how do you use the batteries as an ignitor for the poi?

the negative&positive ends let a little energy from the battery to cause a slight spark to the wool, which if course is thin and flammable. just rub the 2 nodes against the brillo and it'll spread

hey bro ! when attempting sparkle poi's, treat it the same as fire-poi. sparkle poi is just burning metal/brillo so it feeds off the air and there will be little particles flyin in the air. when i spun it i felt the heat ALL AROUND ME and some fly on my neck.

and yes you need a 9v battery, rub the tips only 1-3times just to start it up. u can borrow a lighter/match and just set the brillo's on fire.

the chains are re-useable, the batteries are untill you waste the power, the STEEL WOOL is not, they disintegrate as you spin it wildly.

LOL I made a video too, the poi was too hard packed though, we made cages, if you dig my video you can see the cages we made for the stuff, so it can be loose inside and get enough air but not be able to fly out or big chunks get away from us.
