re: cupcake *making* technique:

a few people have asked me how we made these cupcakes (since they don't have a lip).

instead of baking them in a pan... we bought individual cupcake baking coozies! i don't know what these are actually called - they're basically aluminum cupcake wraps nested around the traditional paper wrap. I guess the result is a lipless cupcake, which is either good or bad depending on your lip-take.
