  • I love Michelle, but I seriously can't stand Jim Bob. Making a big deal of acting like a martyr for listening to his wife tell him about her day instead of getting "right to the point"?! This is the woman who has carried EIGHTEEN children for you and never complains, and you're impressed with yourself for putting up with her small talk?!

  • I hate all the gender essentialism "men are this and women are that" nonsense that comes out of Jim Bob's mouth. Not only does it deny individuality; it's a cousin to the school of thought that victims of rape did something to incite it. It may be that between Josh and Anna, he is pragmatic and she is emotional, but that doesn't mean all men are pragmatic and all women are emotional.

  • @betsys2003 It was also the bates who were there.

  • @Hilaryno1 "It's a half-carrot".

  • I get that it's a reenactment but it's still a little weird that john-david is proposing to his twin sister

  • @betsys2003 i don't know. i have two teenage boys, they can eat.

  • Sometimes their comparisons of how much the Duggars eat/bring/use etc seem exaggerated by TLC. 15 pizzas to feed a 20 person family, about half of whom are under 10? Honestly, the youngest 10 kids probably only eat 1-2 slices each. Their family is large, yes, but it's about 4x the size of an 'average' family that eats 2 pizzas so they should probably eat about 7-8 pizzas. Not 15.

  • @loggats I'd rather subscribe to an ideology that says sexuality is cultural than subscribe to an ideology that perpetuates rape, which is what you have done.
