Basically, the word should never exist, and the changing is all myth and bullshit. Whoever believes that they are truly changing physically should get their head examined, because their mothers have dropped them on their head one too many times. However, mental changes do have it's seeds of truth... Psychological changes seem to be a trend in most religions, anyway.

Apparently Lycaeon refers to the priest that turns into a wolf after human sacrifice that was performed at Mount Lycaen (See what I did thar? No "o") which is where Zeus was supposedly born. Now the reason why the o makes a big difference is because "aen" is a "to be" form. It's like saying "I am." and Lyc is a form of Licos; wolf. and thus we get Lycan. AEON means "year" or "lifetime" ->

Yep. Sadly, they aren't like the ones in movies and sci-fi novels. I'd really like to go out and get a cybernetic arm that can bend steel bars but the technology just isn't that advanced.
