G.I JOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEE AMERRRIIICAAAN HEERRROOOOOOES G.I IS THEEEEEEEEERE G.I JOOOOOOOOOOE ROFL, The movie version of this theme is better. And for those who don't know what I mean, there actually was a cartoon G.I Joe movie, I still have it on tape lol, the theme at the end credits was as more intense version of the cartoons intro I'm assuming.

@BoydofZINJ Mcfarlane's toys? Hello? Those are STUNNING....just type "mcfalane toys" in google images and begin to salivate. I would have to agree with you to a degree: The 80s were amazing for cartoons, and also the 90s too. I think personally, that the 90s were the best for cartoons and probably television in general. Exo squad, c.o.p.s.,TMNT, x-men, batman tas (!)... but 80s had good stuff like transformers (i think they had a few seasons in 90s) and he-man, and gi joe was "good"

@633336 if the year 2000s were so supperior why is the entertainment buisness using 1980 cartoons for the basis of multi million dollar movies? Transformers were not invented in the 2000s... Mainstream America found them in the 80s. The actor used to voice Optimus Prime in the movie was selected because of his voice in the toons. The GI JOE Movie (even though it flopped) mostly came from this cartoon - even though some of the toy line was pre-80s. Thundercats, Star Wars (the good ones), etc

@BoydofZINJ Sorry the 2000s were superior in everyway imaginable.. Even action figures...do your research right....
This was the Reagon's era and the 1880s. Where being a proud American was the norm and American Nationalism was at it's height. The economy was robust and growing and the action figure manufactures and toy creators were creating cartoons better than their toys - and the toys were made of solid rock hard metal, die cast, and not some cheap plastic.
(Breaths air in)
God. The 80s is when we had original ideas. When was our last original idea... The Matrix?
