Each group of medical students that rotates through the pediatric surgery department is asked to do a "discharge dance," celebrating their patients getting to go home from the hospital. This group made up a dance and their own lyrics, telling the story of rounds through the 9th floor, 8th floor, and NICU. Sing along with Reid, Mike, Chris, Chris, and Lane with the words below.
"The Roundin' Shuffle"
Round, round, do your dance, do your dance
Round, round, do your dance, do your dance (repeat)
verse 1
They say I'm a doctor, but I say no
And you can tell by the length of my coat
We just gonna check ya from ya head to ya toes
Then discharge you on up off our floor
You got a good incision, a little bit a pus, tho
Waiting for some gas, coming out ya butt hole
Your temperature is 32.4..... 'isn't that a little bit low?'
To the 9th, to the 9th, to the 9th, to the 9th
To the 8th, to the 8th, to the 8th, to the 8th
Now NIC U, NIC U, NIC U, NIC U
And we hope we don't fail
Cuz we don't present well
(repeat stuff)
verse 2
We been here a month but now we're threw
Somebody get me a Diet Dew
I asked for a can, but this cat gave me a bottle
And I still say that Kreykes could be played by Ray Romano
Guy's don't give up your day jobs.
