Hee Hee.. I'm a retired electronics/computer systems engineer that likes cool flute sounds... You certainly have it! Hey, I'm noticing some youngsters on YT that are doing great jazz flute improv here lately. I always wonder where are these fine young people are learning this art. They must be building them better with more "heart" these days. :-) Oh, gyoshoshin = beginners heart mind a Japanese Zen thing. The best to you!

Your setup sounds great and that Band In A Box does a fantastic job. The Samson mike does a great job with recording your flute. It must be located just outside of the video frame for that great close sound you have. You certainly rate 5 stars on all aspects of your fine videos! Great playing skills, fine audio, dramatic lighting, mood generation, and just plain coolness!

Sounds great! Just wondering about your recording setup... I notice a bit of reverb on your flute. Are you playing wet through a mixer, or mastering later and adding in enhancements? Love your work!

@gyoshoshin Het Gyo - I record dry - no headphones - just piping it into the room. Setup is a basic USB Sanson C03 mic & PowerTracks 12 from Band-in-a-Box. I record simultaneously with the webcam & sequencer, use the webcam audio for a sync reference for the video, then dump it. FX is a straight out of the box Limiter for clipping & reverb. If the tempo is fast I might back the reverb down. Other than that it's just default settings. Thx for stopping by & the kind comments..
