Jelly Bean narrowed the performance gap by a lot and it will get better in future releases.... I think you switched to WP in the Gingerbread days.... WP was it's strengths and so does Android...
About Malware, every popular OS would get targeted eventually.... Windows Phone has a low market share, a bit less than Blackberry. So, for hacker's it's not a viable target. iOS and Android are viable targets because they are the most popular OSs. All players are trying to keep malware away.

Yeah, I had a droid (I now have a Lumia) and I could never decide how to put my home screen. It was frustrating.

Saludos.

For some reason, Windows Phone is just something to experience once. After I had one, I was like, "that was pretty cool and it looks nice," but it just felt like a one time experience for me. Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous, intuitive OS for a phone, and I love how it easily integrated with my social networks (and I'm talking about WP Mango), so if you're on the fence about trying it out and getting one I would say go for it, because it's just getting better, and it's a clean experience.
