In this old video I am trying to do a range of neck exercises ("nexercises") with my mule. They are based on the writings of Philippe Karl but I have received no formal instruction in relation to this so what I am doing may not reflect what ought to be done. Some brief verbal pointers from a Baucherist (2nd manner) NH instructor got me thinking about doing these. I am trying to ensure that the poll is the highest point and that the neck is elevated. Moreover, I am also trying to ensure that there is no twisting at the poll and that the eyeline is horizontal to the ground. I have lost the sound in this old video which is why you can't hear me saying anything, even though I am visibly talking (originally I was providing a commentary on what I am trying to do). I am trying to effect the cession de machoire as I have understood it, whereby the jaw is mobilised. The following article might be of interest:

I no longer ride in the Bob Marshall saddle or the snaffle bridle you see here. The use of the outside rein at one point is not something I got from Philippe Karl - it was just for fun.
Absolutely Fabulous!
