Another one of my "fan castings". This one is 21 of the side characters from Robert Jordans' beloved epic fantasy book series, The Wheel of Time. My brother and I are huge fans of the series, and this is as close as we could come to the images of the characters we have in our heads, with respective actors and actresses. All of which, are named within the video. Some may need slight visual alterations in one way or another, but thats what makeup, hair dye, contacts, and cgi are for. The song in this video is Wheel of Time inspired, entitled "The Farmer and the Warrior", made by Pasi Sivula, and my thanks to him for allowing me to use it. Visit his website @ http://listen.to/wothymns Now for the fun stuff... All of the pictures used in this video were gathered on the net, and I hold no copyright to them. Nor do I claim to. They are the property of the respective owners'. I made this video for the pure joy of it, not to make a profit in any way. Check back for new videos in the future. Thanks for viewing, and feel free to comment below.

  • EXCELLENT choice for Balwer. Not sure who that guy is for Dashiva but good choice. As for Gareth Bryne choice..I would go lil older...someone that is obviously older and wiser looking yet still tough...can't think of anyone atm.

I like Ford for Tam al'Thor but I agree that Tommy Lee Jones may be better.

  • Thanks. Bill Moseley was the lead character with the long scraggly hair in Rob Zombies' a House of a 1000 Corpses and Devils Rejects. Yeah, but if you put a beard on Clive, maybe accent the grey he already has, I honestly couldn't see anyone else pull off the air of authority and demeanor of Gareth Bryne.

I actually see Tommy Lee Jones as a Haral Luhhan, maybe. Hmmm..

  • Oh that was him! Cool. I am trying to work on my own cast as well, seeing if I can perfect a list even though no blockbuster movie would ever use SO many huge stars that most people are tyring to cast on these youtube videos, but its still fun to get the opinions ;p

As for Clive, I could see him pulling that off well, he does have that aurhtority and demeanor...movie magic ftw!

  • Awesome! Let me know when its up. I would love to see it. Haha.. I know exactly what u mean. Doing a Wheel of Time movie justice, w/ what Im sure is a VERY limited budget on not only the size, but the scope, of such a huge projects going to leave them very limited on the budget for actors. Let alone the sets.. I truly feel for the producers, but they have plenty to go off of, so they better get it right.

  • Far as Im concerned, getting the story out to an audience thru film is the best thing they can do. Not only will it be seen by the many WoT fans following it, but will bring in a whole new branch of fans that never read the books. Thats more than worth the cost of producing this epic as far as I'm concerned. Besides, with Jason Denzel and the WoT team, Ive full confidence in the project. Thats a lot of enlightening reference tools to have at ur disposal. Get it wrong, its ur fault. IMHO.. LOL

  • @EmperorofAwesome Tuon was always very dark skinned in the books, the pick is quite good. The Seanchan however are not remotely oriental, they are the descendants of Artur Hawking's armies which were based off all of the cities in 'the new world', although the Borderlanders are indeed Asiatic, the majority of cultures are variations on European cultures. You can assume that they would have a slight trace of the Asiatic slant of eyes, but in essence they have the white skin of Europeans.

  • wow, most of these picks were great... this would be the most expensive cast for a movie ever tho haha, I liked your choice for padan fain too

  • love what you did here, even better than for the main characters (and i love that too)

I can't say whom i like better in the given roles, I would even turn a blind eye to my high disliking of Harrison Ford :D

Logain, Berelain, Balwer, Elyas... perfect choices

  • Ahhhhhhhhrg Buschimi = FAIN!!!! cmon!@

  • PLEASE NEVER MAKE A MOVIE OF THIS SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my imagination would kill itself at seeing HOLLYWOOD as Randland....

  • ehh i dont kno about tuon... from the book she seems more... olive skin/ asian maybe looking you kno? but thats just my opinion.. also the seanchan seem from thier culture they talk about in the book alot more oriental than anything else

  • @KilledKillaB i think russell crow is the obvious choice for bryne. he just looks like him already. tommy lee jones could play abell cauthon. him adn ford together! yes.

  • i liked a lot. some differing opinions but love the fact hugh jackman is not your first choice for gareth bryne. and i think uno would be better played by vin diesel. and padan fain by andy serkis. but ur choices for mazrim and davram are inspired. and megan fox as berelain! she has the cunning and the body to play that. ford as tam is a superb choice. have you thought who should play the aiel? my first choice is duane johnson for rhuarc. and adrien brody for bael.

  • Alright, I'm stupid. Ignore that part about Tuon.

  • I like a lot of them. =D But Tuon is supposed to be pale. =/
