It Was Fun At Lest.. Hey I Hope You Had Your Files Backed Up On Another Drive..
-
water does not affect electronics if it is not online. or if the water is100% pure
-
Mayby it's frozen, and then it gets warm after a while, and then it mayby workes :D
-
*control circuitry it should be ofcourse hehe

Hey! This is nice :) But it was really bad that you'd cut up the bag with the chainsaw, because it got wet. But it was still very, very and I repeat VERY funny! Got any more of these fun tests?? :)
-
Test proves nothing, could be damage due to vibrations from the chain saw, could be moist during thawing, could be broken control curcuitry.
proper way to test would be to use multiple copys. One to use as is just as yoy did in this test, one to use after the disk have been removed from the external case and test it by using new control curcuitry and a third disk to send to a data recovery firm and see what they can do with it.
After all the prupose must be to se if there is any data left.

I wanna watch it again..
lol
it might work next time.. nah that is stupid..
but still record yourself trying again..

Are you able to reformat the drive? I wonder if you could reformat it.
No bleeps.

Can't talk to it to reformat it. Problem seems to be more severe than a media (disk) reading problem.

if Seagate has something new for the upcoming holiday season, I'm sure a round 2 would be interesting!

Fun idea! Someone suggested I string a cable out of the ice and try to run it while frozen in.

Interesting. How did you get the drive to spin when it wasn't recognized?
Sumguy21 2 years ago
Drives try to spin somewhat unconsciously. I just plugged it in and heard it spinning.
I think it gave up after a while for some reason.
