@JBofBrisbane yh i know now that was like a year ago and now im using dcc and i have my layout up and running with scenary and stuff.

@mongoosekid14 - Google "insulating fishplates". Also, the turnouts he's using are probably power-routing.
Are you aware of DCC (digital command control) yet?
-
@jamesmooreism - check that your track is jointed properly, make sure that the rails are in both fishplates properly. Failing that, maybe you're just running them too fast - they're trains, not slot cars.

nice layout!! i notice you have quite a few right & left hand points! have you had any problems with derailments? i've had to replace one point, & im having the same problem again seems ok one way but if i dont switch back the trains derail! do you know if its normal to lose conduct on the inner track when the points are switched over? ime almost ready to invest in track D thanks for the ideas ime inspired! id appresiate any help with my Q's from anyone thanks!

yeah i find i get derailments at higher speeds with the points, especially with the mail carraige but at lower speeds it shouldn't be to much of a problem. to achieve conductivity on your inner track you can buy a set of joined power clips to transfer power between tracks, that shouls sort out your inner track problems.

i had one that sort of size but dis manteled it and made it bigger because i thought i did not have much potential and on mine it always seemed to be on a curve the train
