Excellent form Sifu. As I progress through the system, I see what you are stressing about correct posture and positioning. All is can be seen in this video in regards to the dummy form. Please link it to the Atlantic Warriors Facebook page!

@Fightsports89 Hello, thank you for your comment. Yes, the mook jong frame in the video has (4) height settings. However, at the time this video was made, the rung that is second from the top was broken. You can see it clearly, just follow the cross member from the side of the mook jong to where it connects to the frame, then look right above it. The broken rung has since been replaced.
At the same time, training a lower mook jong height can be used as an opportunity to train your horse.

@utubepunk just a little too low indeed.

@utubepunk Hello, thank you for watching and commenting. There is not enough room here to give a thorough explanation of ranges and bridges when practicing the mook yan jong form. However, please go to the YouTube channel: GODWINWINGCHUN. It gives an excellent and in-depth teaching on your particular question.
Watch the video named, "Intro to Mook Jong Bridges"
Have a great day!

Is it my imagination or does the dummy height seem a little short compared to the practitioner?
top arms at shoulder uppergate , middle arm at middle gate Dan Tien(representing low punch or mid kick. Move your dummy up to represent a taller opponent.

@NoMindSchool Hello, Thank you very much for you comments. Yes, correct posture is of the utmost importance. Once realized by the practitioner, the correct skeletal structure and posture of the body can actually work FOR the practitioner to help his arms maintain an energized relaxation, and ultimately cultivate a more effortless, and efficient combat skill. Have a great day!
