Quote: "I guess that learn oboe is easier than learning a flute ... In the oboe, you blow that's it. Better if ask to an oboe player." An oboe is not a recorder as has been discussed.
Getting through the first year with an oboe is quite hard - you have to build up great air pressure from your diaphragm as the opening of the double reed mouthpiece is very small.
Listen to Heinz Holliger or Albrecht Mayer here on youtube - they are wonderful players.

@apc1no Thank U. But do you have any video in which I can difference how is a playing "with REEDS" and "Wtihout REEDS?

@mariocarnival Better if YOU ask an oboe player. You don't "just blow" and from experience, the flute embouchure is easier than the oboe one and not as hard to maintain. Why do you think double reed players are so much more valuable? Btw I play bassoon and the reeds are a pain in the ass, not totally sure about oboe but it's not easy, you almost have to sing with your throat (without your voice of course) to help notes come out right because more than likely, they won't.

@malcyth Thanks for you clarification.

@mariocarnival . it is not possible to compare instruments like that: The oboe and the flute have got a lot of different challenges. For example an oboe player must produce reeds, which is time demanding and a difficult skill to learn. producing a sound in the oboe is not as easy as you maintain. One can not just blow, there is a lot of time spent to learn how to build up a right embouchure.

Heh... Salieri was an excellent composer! Love his music.
Beethoven was a pupil of Salieri's. As was Franz Liszt.

How banal....If you judge with the Mozart standard, everything will end up to be less. And poor you since you will not enjoy anything else
