John is great....who cares about his weight with that kind of talent, plus you've got to consider his weight with his age now. Everything changes. What if God looked at our physical man..we'd be in a world of trouble!!

I found something in the Bible that may support that the Lord doesn't mind loud music. Read II Chronicles 30: 21. And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of the unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: the Levites and the Priests praised the Lord day by day,(can you say Farm Aid) singing with loud instruments unto the Lord.

I've read way too many posts about how John "looks". I've seen Petra many times over the years and heard them speak at different functions, and I can say that John's heart is for the Lord. I'm sure he doesn't wake up thinking "oh boy, hope I win entertainer of the year" That is not his goal...his goal is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ...not to win the approval of his looks. John, God bless you for sharing with us your heart for Jesus!

I dunno......John's sang in front of hundreds of thousands of people over the past 20 years. If you've ever gone to a Petra concert, he's notorious for forgetting lyrics. I've seen Petra like 6 times live and he's forgotten lyrics pretty much every time.
