Footage of two XFX HD4890 Black Edition videocards running in crossfire. I recorded stock 2D fanspeed, maximum fanspeed on both cards and highest fanspeed you can get while gaming.

  • the motherboard: X58A-UD3R ?? :)

  • @abredgaard Its Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5

  • Hey can someone tell me u can CF 2 4890s if 1 card is different than the other? What i mean is can I CF like an xfx non-reference card with say an Asus 4890?? And do they both have to be the same clock and memory speed to CF?? Help please

  • @lamiac2411 When running two different HD4890's in Crossfire the clockspeeds will be set automatically to the slowest card. With manual overclocking you can bring the lower clocked card op to the level of the highest clocked card tot get optimal performance. Compatibility should never be an issue with different clockspeeds.

  • Do either of your cards appear to be slightly bent, and are you/have you sold the 4890's?

  • @tallandme13 Cards are already replaced. They worked fine and i bought them on the bottom, sold them with almost no loss. I wanted to upgrade to HD 5970 because it is faster and a lot more quiet..

  • okay it is the old version of X58A :)

    - i have the X58A-UD3R

  • Outch ! Noisy =/

  • @dazcr85 Definately. This card is 33% faster than a standard HD4870 1GB, which performs closely to the GTX 260-216.. You do the math :P

  • is a single 4890 black better/faster/more powerfull than a single gtx 260 216core ??
