The Missouri City Pops perform "Mamma Mia!" Highlights From The Broadway Musical. Arranged by Roy Phillippe. Words and music by Benny Andersson, Stig Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. The concert band rehearses Mondays 7-9 p.m. at Welch Middle School in SW Houston, Texas. The Missouri City Pops community band was formed in 1987 on the premise that music and the enjoyment of it is far too important to be left to professionals. These enthusiastic amateurs have been performing ever since at schools, nursing homes, malls, Church halls, and public parks. The Missouri City Pops provides adult musicians an opportunity to pick up the instruments left behind in their youth, and rekindle their love for making music. It is their goal to bring Music out into our community. The band is conducted by Linda Stiegler.
