  • What did you use to polish the feed ramp?

  • Flitz brand polish, once I sanded the coating off with fine grit sandpaper.

  • Hey, one more question for you. When I took my gun apart for first time to clean, the plastic guide on the recoil spring was on the outside towards the end of the barrel, but I see yours is on the inside. Was wondering which is correct, I put it back the way you have it but doesnt seem like it is working as good as I had it before. Thanks.

  • Put it back together the original way. I actually had that part backwards...lol. It didn't make any difference in my 380, though.

  • Just purchased the gun today, any suggestions to make it more reLiable, how would I go about polishing the the feed ramp. Purchased used, how often do I need to oil and clean.

  • Use fine grit sand paper, and polish with a good polishing compound like "Flitz". Don't use too much pressure and take your time. It should be nice and shiny when done.

Clean it after every outing (50-100 rounds).

  • Finally thanx 4 making this video dude!!!

  • Just wanted to say nice vid brother and appreciate it. I was given this weapon and after taking it to the range it, would misfeed on the last round of the magazine everytime. I figured it needed cleaning. After watching your disassembly vid....I noticed this weapon(used).... does not have the plastic guide on the front spring or the larger spring that slides over the fireing pin spring. The weapon shoots all except the misfeeds. Should I be concearned abt the two missing parts?? Thx Hua

  • @yoshyusmc i shot the hi point enough before i got the glock to tell the difference, the glock is so much easier to hold, aim and shoot, the HP is bulkier, heavier and harder to aim, but thats just my opinion.

  • @jroxx11211 You mention the Hi Point is not that accurate, however many reviewers say otherwise. Have you been shooting comparatively better with the Glock? I just got a HP 380, and am anxious to shoot it.

I have shot the Berreta M9 and the Glock 45, and I like the Glock better in terms of accuracy (even though I was a double Expert in the Corps.).

  • What do you use to polish the ramp

  • my pin wont come out. :(

  • Great video!....i was used to stripping my 1911..i just this model used and wanted to give a good cleaning...very helpful...thanks!!

  • Thanks for the video got this exact gun for christmas. I don't know much about field stripping and cleaning guns or rifles so this video really helps. Are there any tips you could give me about cleaning and lubing my gun?

  • Thanks for the Video, awesome!

  • Nice video bro, i bought one used as my first weapon, then got my ccw and bought a new glock 26 to carry, i never fully cleaned the hi point till now, now i finally know how to do it easily, the glock is made to field strip without any pin removal, the hi point is pretty simple once you know how to do it, i dont really shoot the hi point anymore, its not that accurate for range purpose, just a good back up for the home, thanks again.
