TOYOTA 2.0L and under N/A blocks are the most advanced inline fours on the earth. they are't turboed or SC'd because they don't need to be, i know i own one 2zr-fe. heads are designed by yamaha, specifically to operate like a streetbike engine, efficient at high RPM. lift occurs at 3000 unlike most where its 5500 plus. wiki- will explain it before you disagree. no hate on any brand, i love pretty much any car.

drummerblade, i cant believe im wasting time on this but no shit the Tc's are not boosted stock, that is the Tc motor boosted(most likely SC), not the stock one, duh? or this woundnt be a TRD SEMA show car.
And the lotus thing was directed towards an earlier comment that the motor is crap, when its the same block out of a supercar, a very nice one on top of that. That was in no way saying the Lotus Elise was a "crappy" car ha.

@trdmatrix17 wrong man it has an intercooler and a hood scoop in the front, which means it's supercharged or turbocharged. the tc is neither. and since when were lotus elise's crappy? last time i checked they were exotic sports cars. and GM's platform prostitution is a big reason that they're in the crapper right now

you guys are all fucking stupid, first its a corolla wagon, it does have the same engine as the Tc, as well as the same block as the Lotus Elise(Crappy?).
GM has the pontiac vibe, its almost the exact car . GM practically buys it from toyota(design,parts,etc)
