Crosby has helped out in numerous children's hospitals and has also donated money to the children's hospital in Nova Scotia to help them renovate and create a new wing. He donated his Olympic winnings to charity. He also founded the Sidney Crosby Foundation in 2009 which donates to and supports communities as a whole, specifically for children. In relation to hockey, every year he has his own hockey camp in the city of Pittsburgh in which he helps teach young kids the game of hockey for free.
