  • great video, really made me realize that ive been hard on my self. Can you please make a video on how to control your emotions during, before and after game. I will be down on myself for hours if i lose a big playoff or tournament game. Even in girls hockey its hard to control youre temper with refs and other players

  • @HockeyWarrior45 me too i use to play for the ladies rangers than stated playing with the guys and felt like i was going too get jugded but they actully always made me feel good when i got a goal and or high five me

  • i play girls highschool and boys rep, my girls team is second place and my boys second last, and the boys are way more confident lol

  • Grils on girl teams need socialization time prior to the game or practice. That is part of the team building that typifies the girls game. (and makes it so appealing I might add)

Great VID. For a great sport!

  • This is first rate!

The coaching mantra for coaches of girls is BE POSITIVE

You can say to a boy :Wake up! What kind of bone head play was that?"

Say that to a girl and she is done for 4 games. She will not want the puck at all.

Better choice. " The smarter play in that case is X or Y and we like to do this or that in our team concept.: Then a pat on the helmet. Girls on boys rep teams are generally A ) superior skaters and B) are smarter, see the ice better etc. That is why they are there.

  • hm, i've never thought about this before.

  • very TRUE about coaching praising some1 and they fell like oh no... wat if ...

  • so TRUE! i play with all guys and i'm always affraid that if i do something wrong they'll judge me because i'm a girl. same with scoring; i hardly ever look at the positive side of it.

    great video!
