@HipCovers mmm, not like this, condensers record more details in the sound, and about acoustics, its more about being cardioid, hypercardioid, directional, etc...

@CircuitSetSail It's not a question of which is better it's what you want to use them for. They are two completely different mics and you can't really compare them. The Shure would usually be used for live vocals whereas the Samson is better for recording voice or acoustic guitar etc.. You just need to work out which is better for whatever it is you want to do with it.

@danz409 these were advertised for podcasting specifically as one of the things you can do with it, so, this thing would work damn well for that
