a real shame that those moronic academy members did'nt give fassbender or carey mulligan oscar nominations. that scene of mulligan singing 'new york new york' was awesome. he was nothing short of magnificent in this. if clooney does win the oscar i won't be too upset, i did love 'the descendants' and clooney was great...loved his character. fassbender has an incredibly hot body....and where it counts, too! yum!!!

@txikilin That's like saying there's no such thing as an addiction to the internet. This is the 21st century. Everything can be an addiction - don't try to narrowly define what an addiction is. You could explain any other DSM-approved addiction in a similar fashion. You certainly saw the film, but I don't feel as if you understood it - it's as much about modern life as it is about Fassbender's penis.

This movie is ridiculous. No one takes sex so seriously. There is not such a thing as addiction to sex. You may get fed up, glutted because our lifes are boring and that's all. We have seen Sex in New York and everything was fun and now Mr Mcqueen shows us the dark side as Basic Instinct did in the 90's. Much worse is for the mind to fall in love and be unrequited. As for the relation with his sister is just selfishness, sheer individualism but nothing to do with a "dirty life".
