Sounding a little like Clyde McPhatter who had recently left the group for a solo career, Bobby Hendricks took the lead for The Drifters on "Drip Drop". The recording was initially released as the B-Side to "Moonlight Bay" in May of 1958, but became the A-Side for most deejays at the time.
