  • First, thanks a lot for posting this vid to share with us. I went up to their concerts many times in early 80s but didn't hear this song ever on their stage. Thanks again.

Second, may I ask when was this vid taken? Was it really in 1990? This question is due to their pretty young lookings as in 90. It's just unbelievablly young!

  • This is without a doubt the correct date and venue. I shot it. I saw the Roches maybe 50 times and caught this song maybe 2 or 3 times.

  • You actually have to have a sense of humor to like this. It has been so many years since I heard them. Love it!

  • Classic Roches!! I've never seen a group who could sound almost exactly like the album - perfect example. Phenomenal. Thank you for posting!!!

  • The girl I dated in 1990 wore very similar to what Terre is wearing in this video. So the styles would seem to correctly date this performance.

  • "she thinks i want her autograph!" hahahaha.

  • Good song. I wasn't familiar with it. I saw them at McCarter, but I think it was a year or two after this. Great show. Nobody else does what the Roche sisters do. They are their own genre.

  • The thing that's so cool about this song, in addition to its ironic and self-deprecating lyrics, is that, while a folky-acoustic thing, the melody and harmonies are very Andrews Sister-sounding.

  • No matter how much I spray, I can't get rid of the Roaches.

  • Good folk music for the homeless.

  • And, of course, adding to the humor of the song is that the target of the hatred is none other than one of the musicians--Suzzy Roche singing about how much she hates Suzzy Roche.
