Piano interpretation by Giorgio Rizzarelli - http://youtube.com/urbania70 - of Little Wing, the classic of Jimi Hendrix, the electric guitar legend.
Dedicated to John Montagna and Godfrey Townsend, members of The Alan Parsons Live Project in 2000-10, and posted in response to this Little Wing cover by them:

I had pleasure to meet them various times and am honoured that John wrote me he likes this cover. He's also a huge expert about The Beatles.

I dedicate this cover also to FBT, which uploaded the Townsend/Montagna video. FBT is an important brand of amp equipment, and I'm their customer since long time. I was so very happy when I saw they posted a hi-tech video with the participation of their long-time friend Alan Parsons:

As a very personal note..
FBT is from Recanati, a small town in center Italy known for the Italian poet Giacomo Leopardi, but with the most important industrial zone of hi-tech Italian musical industry. My memories of Recanati go back to my childhood, when I took part in some competitions in electronic organ, while the local brand Farfisa was introducing the first electronic imitation of a church organ: while the most people played simple songs, I went there playing at memory Bach pieces of 15 minutes., and got the trophys in Recanati in 1980 and 81. Visiting the places of Leopardi was an additional reward.

@lisamconveyness Thanx! Two of your favorites? Little Wing and ?

@lisamconveyness The adapting to piano of this guitar classic received mixed comments. Really this meditative version is partially inspired by Sting's version (so in your prev msg I thought you may possibly refer to Jimi and Sting). Thanx to you

Thanx. The feeling is very inspired by Sting's version on the album "Nothing like the sun".
