1.The so-called European elections are actually EU elections (Norway,Switzerland etc.also belong to Europe) . 2.The elections are not democratic : In a real democracy every vote has the same weight. 38,000 votes are needed in Luxemburg to chose an MEP. In Germany the number of votes needed is 628,000.
3.Europeans were never asked if they wanted an EU parliament & an un-elected legislative.
not sure how over 150m people voting across 27 countries is not democracy?!,
secondly, the number of MEP is based off populations and the need to maintain parity between the larger member states, this does result is some imbalances between member states.
Europe has always voted for the Parliament, not sure how the EU could have more democracy without the EU Parliament!?
Finally, people should have voted, 85% of all laws come the EU Commission and Parliament
i like the campaign.. I go for a 30minutes walk or one hour running everyday. I also encorage my friends to do so :) I think world needs more active people ;)
I also liked the video. I think it's a great motivator to get out of the lazy boy. By the way, my YouTube group just started a contest that can help people get in shape. Submit an entry for a prize that could change your life.
Well not all EU countries money. Spain gets more out of the EU than it puts in. And if we are trying to fight a war surely we should spend lots of money on it so it ends quicker.
