Hi, I'm celebrity makeup artist Meredith Baraf. One of the hottest trends on the red carpet and runway is a Smokey Eye and I'm going to show you how easy it is to achieve at home. The key to gorgeous eye makeup is blending. Having a good set of brushes is all you need. I'm going to show you how to use the EcoTools new Eye Brush Set to achieve your Smokey Eye. So the process of creating a Smokey Eye is all about blending and smudging. I'm going to start with a pencil and then we're going to smudge it out. Just going to put the liner on the top right by the lash line. You don't have to be worried about creating a very perfect line. Just want to smudge it on there. You're going to take your smudge brush. Smudge it outward. Then you're going to go back with a dark brown shadow over that pencil to set it and intensify the line. Now I'm doing her Smokey Eye with bronze color, depending on your skin tone you can use blacks or grays or bronzes. Now the next step is to take a blending brush to start blending upward, because key here is to gradiate the color. You're creating intensity, but you're doing it in a subtle way. Now we're going to take the highlighting brush with a light color to highlight under the brow. Now with this look we're using a lot of the brushes from the eye brush set. Some of the different looks you use you may only need one or two of the brushes, but in this look it's a little more intense, you're going to be using a lot more of the brushes. Now I'm going to go back in with that highlight color, with this brush. Go right into the inner corner of the eye, gives it a little pop, so that even though you have this dark eye you have a brightness. Now I'm going to take the shading brush, with a lighter color than your mid-tone and I'm actually going to use a bronze with a little bit of sparkle using kind of a gold, bronze color it's a little lighter, so that you are not just dark all around the eye. Now to intensify the look I am going to go back with a pencil and go inside the eye and then you can move on to mascara. As you can see, by using the 6-piece Eye Brush Set by EcoTools getting that Smokey Eye isn't so difficult. Check out my other videos for more great ideas.
