Bridge to Heaven- Film shot in Inner Mongolias Zhunger County, and at Zhunger Village and environs, with slight of hand medicine ball magical production, a healing session, card reading/divination and sword dance/healing performance by Fong Chong Tsai, a Chinese shaman of Inner Mongolia. Visit to Inner Mongolian Mother and Father Pine Tree (God Tree) shrines and Zhunger village tree shrines where Aobao worship and worship of The 13 Gods of Riches continues.

Much thanks to the philosophy department of the Social Science Academy of Inner Mongolia (SSAIM) and Chuck, also, Chochtu, members of our team and locals for facilitating my journey (and for a safe return across a seriously flooded river in a land rover) and gathering of information.

Original music for film opening - Andai music, recorded in l990 in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. Much thanks to Sorana and Deleger and friends for help with this recording. More detailed footage and transcriptions available through Marguerite. Email: windhorse@earthlink.net Phone: (310) 502-4591

This film has not been, and will not be offered for commercial release upon request of participants and is for research purposes only.

Notes for original music added for end credits recording by Marguerite Garner-Kusuhara of Andai in 2006. Andai -Traditional music for Inner Mongolian shamans healing ceremony. A group dance section of a ceremony organized by a shaman, has become a National folk dance of Inner Mongolia. This music at one time was played during part of a week long gathering and session for curing illness brought on by depression, fevers, and for bringing rain. Also, music for story of Bumbalai, girl healed of heartbreak by Andai music and dance. Collected in Yang Xi Mu village in September of 2006. Much thanks to Mr. Vice President Ma Yong Zhen of the SSAIM, Ms. Bai Cui Ying of Tong Liao, local musicans, dancers and officials (and to the cooks!) for hosting, teaching and assisting me in 2006.

This music is protected and not for commercial release upon request of the participants and is for research purposes only.
