sorry i know your comment is like 4 years old, but I just wanted to clear up that falsetto is when there is no cord closure (open/part, lots of air escaping). While the notes he's hitting are not very powerful, you can still hear closure, so it is indeed mostly headvoice/mixed voice, but without falsetto.

WOW! These guys are great. Have been a fan of Southern Gospel for 40 years. If you like good bass singing listen to Lonesome Road by The Rangers this guy is awesome also. One of the best I have never heard of. A very good quartet & the bass singer has a great bass voice. He moved into my top 5 after hearing him. In no certain order my favorites would be Tim, JD, Charlie Gilmore, George Younce & Big Chief. Take a listen & I think you will be blessed as I was.

Really? I've always found JD's voice to be more bassy than London's voice (London is still boomy, but not as much as JD). Plus, J.D. can go 2 or 3 notes lower than London. That's why I put JD on bass and London on baritone...they're both awesome bass singers, though. What do you think of my lineup for bass singers who are alive today?
Anybody here like Mike Holcomb?

The sound quality is so bad... I'd love this with better quality, so you can hear the distinct voices.
