India's stars turned out in force this weekend to attend the 10th annual International Indian Film Academy Awards - this year in Macau. Over the three-day event, thousands of fans welcome their on-screen heroes to the Venetian.
In terms of revenue, Bollywood hasnt had the best of years. But you wouldn't know it from this enthusiastic welcome. Although not strictly speaking an Indian production, there's no doubting that last year's Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire has been a fillip for the industry overseas.
The biggest cheers on the Green Carpet were saved for the Bachchan father and son team. Promoters opted to avoid red to show the academy's commitment to promote climate change awareness.
