A song that is interesting to think about from the perspective that the girl in the song left the diary underneath a tree on purpose hoping he would read it because she didn't have the heart to tell him she loved somebody else in person, and it also allowed the guy to deal with it on his own terms and feelings about the situation at the same time. My feeling is she never loved him, but knew that he loved her and was trying to find a way to tell him without actually telling him. Unrequited Love.

OMG such mems... I still say this is the most beautiful love song I've ever heard. the guitar work and vocals are incredible obviously but.. the story just brings tears to my eyes... It wasn't him :(

the song is like the irony when you think that the phrases she writes on pages like facebook are dedicated to you and the true is that she dedicates them to another guy... in my case and worst of all, the girl i liked, wrote love quotes to my best friend and another to my brother and I thought the quotes were for me hahahahaha

Holy Moley! You people still talking about this song? It is one of my favorites but only because it reminds me of my childhood and first loves. It's actually kind of a brutal song, because the boy thinks she's writing about him. He hasn't even kissed a girl yet! He's just starting puberty and the girl may be his teacher for all we know, letting him down easy. ROFL!
