Recorded on December 29, 2008 using a Flip Video camcorder. This young great horned owl was rescued with a broken wing and transported to Clearwater Rescue Center in Mandeville Louisiana ASAP, the next day. By law, Raptors may only be rehabilitated by licensed Raptor rehabilitators. If you find an injured raptor, contact your local wildlife and fisheries, local zoo or veterinarian as soon as possible to find out where to bring your raptor ASAP. Great care should be taken in handling raptors, as they can seriously injure human flesh with their talons. This owl was safely captured by throwing a jacket on top of him and then gently picking him up using thick leather welding gloves. Raptors should be transported in a cardboard box large enough for them to stand up and turn around in comfortably. If the bird is able to beat its wings, further injury can occur, causing longer recovery time as the feathers will need to grow back before release. This owl was fed raw chicken as per raptor rehabilitators instructions, in order to get some calories in him before being transported to a veterinarian for surgery
@Boodhunnilesh You literally just wrote the word "fucking" but put a random asterisk in the middle of it. What's the point?
